Retirement Age for central government employees

It is overwhelming to see the comments received in response to my article posted on 15^th July 2015 on the retirement age of Central Government Employees. In fact, the attention of all central government employees is on the 7th Pay commission which is going to be implemented on 1/1/2016, and the commission is expected to submit its recommendations to the government in the month of August, 2015.

When all this is happening on one side, there is an unknown sense of fear in the minds of the central government employees as some unconfirmed news seen in the websites stated that the criteria of retirement age of employees will be 33years of service or at the age of 60 years whichever is earlier which will adversely affect lakhs of employees and their families who have to repay: the housing loan installment applied with the desire of owning a house, the loan arranged for children's betterment, the money owed due to marriage expenses etc.  considering their service period up to the age of 60.

When the retirement age is suddenly reduced, the consequences appear unthinkably terrifying and fatal to Lakhs of Central Government employees and their family members. It may be mentioned here that those employees who are in the service, will know their retirement age well before and so will make their future plans accordingly. Keeping in view of the above points the CPC may submit their Report after putting a serious thought on the retirement age to avoid a serious punishment to lakhs of Central Govt. Employees and their unfortunate family members.
